How To Tell If Remote-Controlled Mower Fits Your Property

How To Tell If Remote-Controlled Mower Fits Your Property

Many customers, after reading our fullrange remotecontrolled mower overview, ask: Will this machine work well on my property? Which model should I pick?

Our remotecontrolled mowers excel at steepslope weed clearing, orchardrow vegetation removal, and cutting large areas of overgrown wild grass. Still, they are not a universal fit for every job. Choosing the wrong model can lead to slipping, accelerated component wear, and poor working efficiency. This simple selfcheck checklist will help you quickly confirm suitability, and decide between wheeldrive WD and tracked Tseries units.

📝 Step 1: Evaluate your property slope

Slope is the most critical factor when selecting a remotecontrolled mower.

◼️Gentle slopes within 30°: Both 4wheeldrive WD and tracked Tseries are viable. If you have mostly hard surfaces and dry soil, pick the wheeldrive WD for easier relocation and lower cost.

◼️Steep slopes from 30°45°: Tracked Tseries is mandatory. Wheeldrive units will slip and cannot operate safely. Tracked chassis delivers far superior grip and stability on inclines.

◼️Extrasteep slopes above 45°: Even our tracked models with a maximum 45° climbing rating are not recommended for prolonged continuous operation; safety risks rise significantly.

Pro tip: Never judge slope by eye. Use a smartphone inclinometer app to take realworld measurements — visual estimation frequently underestimates actual gradient.

📝 Step 2: Examine soil and site conditions

Suitable site conditions

✅ Orchard rows, overgrown lots, grassy hillsides, large wildgrass sections on estates

✅ Firm compact soil with scattered rocks, weeds and low brush

Conditions to watch out for

⚠️ Consistently muddy, swampy soft ground: Wheeldrive WD units slip badly. Tracked mowers can operate here, yet mud clings heavily to the undercarriage and requires frequent cleaning.

⚠️ Rocky terrain with large sharp boulders: These accelerate wear on tracks, rubber tires and cutting blades, shortening service life of replacement parts.

⚠️ Small manicured residential lawns: If your main goal is trimming neat ornamental turf, our fuelpowered remote mowers are overkill. Standard residential electric mowers will serve you better.

📝 Step 3: Weed types & work objectives

Think about what vegetation you need to clear:

◼️Ordinary long grass and weeds: Entrylevel models with a 55 cm cutting width will handle the task adequately.

◼️Dense overgrown weeds, tangled vines and small shrub branches: Prioritize higherpower models with 80 cm or wider cutting width, such as the T452-80L.

◼️Large mature shrubs and thick woody branches: Remotecontrolled mowers cannot process these. Separate mulching equipment will be required.

Important reminder: These machines are built for mowing and shredding grass and weeds. They are not wood chippers. Do not use them to cut thick hard woody limbs.

📝 Step 4: Lot size & transport / storage requirements

Smallscale sites: Orchards or small estates of a few thousand square feet; 55 cm cuttingwidth models deliver sufficient productivity.

Mediumtolarge lots spanning multiple acres: Opt for 80 cm or 100 cm widecut models to reduce backandforth passes and save substantial working time.

Also plan for transport and storage. All remotecontrolled mowers carry substantial weight; even our lighterweight units weigh several hundred pounds.

Please confirm:

1.You have access to a truck or trailer to haul the mower to your work site.
2.You have dry, ventilated shed or covered storage space. Avoid leaving the machine exposed outdoors to rain longterm.
