CZ-10 Excavating a Cable Trench in a Tight Space

CZ-10 mini excavator excavating cable trench at Malaysia substation

At a high-voltage substation in Malaysia, the ground is covered with crushed stone, surrounded by yellow-and-black construction guardrails. Power transformer structures and busbars stand nearby, with palm trees visible in the distance. A cable trench needs to be dug here.

The challenge of this work is not excavation itself, but limited space. Inside the substation, space is tight. Large excavators cannot operate due to their swing radius. Working close to live equipment carries high risks. For confined-space jobs like this, conventional construction requires extra on-site workers, plus dedicated staff to monitor and prevent collisions with adjacent equipment.

The CHANZETHOR CZ-10 features a narrow body. It can move and turn between two rows of guardrails. Its bucket digs right next to the base of transformer structures, excavating sections of red soil mixed with crushed stone and dumping them beside the trench. Backfilling can be completed right after trenching. Only one operator in the cabin is needed for the whole task, with no ground crew required.

Mini Excavator Stocked by a Local Importer

A CHANZETHOR mini excavator is located at the storage yard of a Chilean importer. As seen from the on-site photos, the machine is kept in the warehouse area alongside other imported goods, awaiting subsequent sales or delivery. SUR IMPORTACIONES provides air and sea freight import services. This highlights a practical market trait: for bulky and heavy construction machinery, local inventory enables equipment to go straight into local sales and delivery processes, rather than requiring separate overseas shipping for every single unit.

For small contractors, farmers and construction teams, local availability of machinery directly impacts how they make purchases. Waiting for a machine shipped from overseas is a totally different buying experience compared to sourcing a locally available unit that can be inspected and delivered right away.

Beyond simply entering the local market as a piece of equipment, this machine acts as physical stock within the local distribution and import network.

Mini Excavator Working in Forest Terrain

Hengwang mini excavator working in southern Chile forest terrain

In southern Chile, a mini excavator was used in an undeveloped forest area with dense vegetation, exposed tree roots, soft ground, and uneven terrain.

There was no paved access road through the site, and the terrain included noticeable slopes. A green tent can also be seen among the trees, indicating that the area was being used as an outdoor camp.

The compact excavator was able to access the site along a narrow forest path. Its rubber tracks allowed it to travel across the unpaved terrain while the bucket was used to remove soil and work around existing tree roots.

The site was gradually cleared and leveled to create more usable ground for future activities, such as improving access, preparing a camp area, or making the site ready for later work.
